Kenbright Holding Limited owns 100% of three subsidiaries – Kenbright Insurance Brokers Limited, Kenbright Health Administrators Limited and Kenbright Financial Services Limited.
Kenbright Insurance Brokers Limited (KIBL) was founded on the 14th April 1993. and Kenbright Healthcare Administrators Limited (KHAL) was founded in 2005.
Kenbright Financial Services was recently established in June 2015 to provide consultancy services on Actuarial, Pension, Risk & related advisory services.

Founder of Kenbright Insurance Brokers Ltd since 1993 and as of now Chairman of Kenbright Group of Companies.
He was also the Chairman and Founder of Premium Drums Ltd from 1990 to 2000 and National Grindlays Bank Ltd. from 1969 to 1984. At National Grindlays, Mr. Gondi a career Banker after his A level was sent for training in U.K as a trainee Officer on the Banks Africanization Program to take over from expatriate Managers. During his training he obtained Diploma in Banking and Associate of Institute of Banking.
He was trained as a financial analyst, to specialize on credit evaluation, Insurance Credit Risk Mitigation and a Foreign Exchange dealer on forward contracts on Letters of Credit being a special line of facilities for foreign imports.
After completion of his training, he was attached in Nat West Bank for 6 months for an intensive on the job training. When National Grindlays Bank was bought by the Government in 1971, the name changed to Kenya Commercial Bank Ltd. He served in various capacities in Branch Management Network rising to the position of Assistant General Manager. He later resigned to start Thabiti Finance Company as its first Chief Executive Officer and shareholder from 1985 – 1990.
Mr. Gondi has served as Founder Chairman and CEO of the Geothermal Development Company a leading Energy parastatal body mandated to fast track Geothermal production. He was appointed by H.E. President Kibaki on January 2009 to December 2013. During his tenure as Chairman he led funding negotiations with International donors and development partners such as World Bank, the African Development Bank and the French Development Bank. He also played a key role as a resource person in leading delegation to Donor funding Conferences due to his banking experience.
Other Presidential Appointments included are Nairobi City Council as a Commissioner where he was then appointed Finance Chairman, Water and Sewerage Committee (1988) where he was instrumental in the completion of Ndakaine Water Project which supplies Nairobi and its environs with Water and was funded by World Bank.
His accomplishments are serving in Kenya Association of Manufacturers in the Technical Committee, Kenya Chamber of Commerce, Nairobi Chapter as Chairman and served in the Board of Alliance High School and Lenana High School. He is currently a Council Member of Great Lakes University and a Board Member of Kenya Red Cross.
Sammy Makove is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK [ACII], Associate of the Insurance Institute of Kenya [AIIK], Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Member of the Institute of Directors [Kenya Chapter], and an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya
He joined Kenbright Actuarial and Financial Services as a Regulatory Affairs and Advisory Director in 2017.
Prior to joining Kenbright, Mr. Makove was the Commissioner of insurance and Chief Executive of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Kenya. He joined the insurance industry as an underwriter in 1983 and later joined the regulatory office in 1987 rising through the ranks to become the Commissioner in 2001
Over his service years, he was honoured by H.E the President of the Republic of Kenya, the Actuarial Society of Kenya, the Association of Kenya Insurers and the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya [CPSK] for exemplary service .
Mr. Makove is an expert in insurance management, strategy, regulatory compliance and liaison, corporate risk management and corporate governance.
Mukami Njeru is a fully qualified Fellow of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries, a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Kenya. Mukami holds a degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi.
Mukami joined Kenbright Actuarial and Financial Services as a Risk Director in 2016.
Prior to joining Kenbright, Mukami was the Group Actuary at CIC Insurance. She has over 10 years’ experience in the East Africa region, UK Australian markets specialising in General Insurance, Health Insurance, Life Assurance and Enterprise Risk Management.
Mukami sits at the Council of the Actuarial Society of Kenya and is a Director at the Strathmore Risk Management Center.
Mukami was nominated in Business Daily's 2014 list of top 40 under 40 women to watch as an intelligent lady with multi-jurisdiction experience and high levels of cultural intelligence. She holds oneself to a high standard of integrity and performance and is focused on building the right relationships.
Dr. Kanja joins Kenbright as its Medical Director by merit of his compassion and innovative consumer engagement in health care product implementation.
He holds Masters of Strategic Management from Kenya Methodist University and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) from University of Nairobi. Dr. Kanja Koinange has enviable auditing guidelines and procedures at improving consumer engagement in health and lifestyle.
Dr. Kanja Koinange is a skilled innovator of the health care products and services across the continuum of care in the insurance industry. He managed healthcare for one of the largest East African Insurers, Jubilee Insurance before moving to Prudential Insurance, also notably, one of the largest insurance providers in the world.
Ezekiel Macharia is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK) and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Kenya. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi.
Ezekiel joined Kenbright Holdings Ltd in Jan 2016 as Managing Director and Chief Actuary in charge of the subsidiaries - Kenbright Insurance Brokers Kenbright Actuarial Financial Services.
Prior to joining Kenbright, Ezekiel worked as the Group Actuary of Jubilee Holdings. Ezekiel has over eight years’ experience in East African market specialising in life, P C and health insurance.
He also sits in the Council of the Actuarial Society of Kenya (TASK) which is supporting development of insurance and risk based supervision.
Ezekiel volunteers at a local Kenyan university, Strathmore University, as a visiting lecturer and Executive Fellow to the Risk Management Centre.
Ezekiel is the Consulting Actuary for various insurers in the East African Market.
HOLLY BAKKE currently serves as an International Markets advisor to Kenbright Actuarial and Financial Services, Kenya.
She is a Principal with Strategic Initiatives Management Group, LLC in New Jersey. SIMG provides consulting services for emerging markets, regulators, impaired insurers and reinsurers.
Before joining Kenbright, Ms. Bakke served as New Jersey’s Commissioner for Banking and Insurance. During Commissioner Bakke’s tenure, New Jersey enacted groundbreaking auto insurance reforms that included the nation’s toughest penalties for auto insurance fraud, nationally recognized consumer protections, innovative methods for trimming the rank of uninsured motorists, and steps to put downward pressure on rates for good drivers.
Ms. Bakke is an attorney and certified alternative dispute resolution professional. She was also founding member of Team Capital Bank, a trustee of Kean University and an adjunct faculty member at Rutgers University School of Law and Seton Hall University.
Chrispin Onyancha currently serves at Kenbright Holdings Ltd as Director, Reinsurance Advisory & Broking and CEO of Kenbright Reinsurance Brokers.
Chrispin Onyancha is a Nearly-Qualified Actuary of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries (UK) and a Member of the Actuarial Society of Kenya (TASK).
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi, a Post-graduate Diploma (PGDip) and Master’s degree in Applied Actuarial Science from The University of Kent (UK).
Prior to joining Kenbright, Chrispin was the Regional Manager, East Africa at Munich Reinsurance Company. He has over 8 years’ experience in the sub-saharan life & non-life insurance market having worked at East Africa Re, and Arab Insurance Group (Mauritius).
